Fr. Thomas W. Tifft  
 Popes of the 20th Century
 

Father Tifft is President-Rector of St. Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology for the Diocese of Cleveland.

Ordained in 1969 by Bishop Clarence Issenamann, Father Tifft earned an M.Div. from St. Mary Seminary, an M.A. from John Carroll University and a Ph.D. from the Catholic University of America. He has taught Church History at St. Mary Seminary since 1973, serving as President-Rector since 2001. Prior to his assuming the position of Rector, Fr. Tifft served as Academic Dean and Vice-Rector.
